Squall's Up For Media Award
SQUALL nominated for European Online Journalism award
4th July 2002
SQUALL Magazine online has been nominated for Best Innovation in European Journalism at this year's European Online Journalism Awards. The awards were established in 1999 in recognition of the huge changes online publishing is making to journalism, and was the first award to honour the work of journalists who write for the web.
This year 785 entries from 24 countries were considered by a panel of 122 judges drawn from a wide range of European net media organisations.
The awards cover a wide number of categories including Internet Journalist of the Year, Best News Presentation and Best Innovation. The judging process was overseen and adjudicated by ABCE, the digital media arm of the Audit Bureau of Circulation.
Alongside SQUALL in the Best Innovation category are BBC Online and ParaNuncaOlvidar.com (a Danish website).
The awards ceremony takes place in central London on Wednesday 4 July.
